My Romance Partner Because Astarion is well written (up to the last 10 mins of the game), well scripted on both directions his arc can take. Interesting story, character developement is superb. Voice acting is second to none. The romance with him is much deeper and more interesting than in any other game I have come across, tried Gale and went back to Astarion (actually restarted lol).

The Companions Interesting characters in the main, interesting quest arcs for many of them. The fact that I actually end up caring about what happens to all of them due to their interactions with me.
I love the owlbear cub and Scratch. Voice acting for all of the companions and animals was brilliant. Love the fact I could have random conversations with just about any animal I came across.

Because of the above I must also include whoever did the mocap, the body sculpting most especially the face sculpting and mocap/lipsynch/eye movement on the face because it was extraordinarily good - far superior to any other game in recent years.

Some of the locations and set design. One of my favourite moments in the entire game is 'setting sail into the dark' it feels so expectant and slightly spooky and the arrival at the destination from that voyage felt like something from LoTR.

Color Me is shocked someone made a positive post I think I might think faint LOL! Sarcasm inside it's nice to see someone put a positive post out here instead of whinging constantly.

I'll tell you one thing that stands out for me the interaction with the NPCs and not just your party members the way the fact that choices matter here. I play games I played Divinity Original Sin 2 recently even back in that game NPC you were stealing from them. No, I haven't played it much because I'm playing on my steam deck and everybody is playing this on the console.

But I like the fact that they built on this with BG3, not only do they know they've been stealing from you they know when you've been using charm spells within the dialogue they recognize you as if you're a sorcerer I like the fact that I can use a potion without having to drink it and add it to my role.

And even though we're not at the end of the year yet this game is worthy of being game of the year and role-playing game of the year just for that fact not to mention they didn't hold back about the bestiality there was nothing back about this game.

Others played every role-playing game you can imagine honestly and this game no pun intended changes the game and how we're going to think about gaming in the future.

I would like to add on a personal note that I sent a very nice fan letter to Larian Studios, fortunately never going to receive it because it went into a support ticket which was not supposed to after I specifically sent it to them directly. I wanted to show my appreciation for the game for sharing something that I am very good at and that is knowledge. I can't draw I can't make videos I'm a very creative person but that is beyond me. I tried posting that here but for some reason, it wouldn't let me post it. I found it very frustrating because he was the only gift that I could truly share and even my sound a bit jaded slighted it's because I do. Like I thought they were going to write me back but I at least hope they would appreciate the feedback.

Sincerely, Brutality

1. I can pick any class and simply play the game without wasting time to search 'most effective' way of playing. Very old school thing, love this.

2. Story is really great, no matter what others may think. I know it's just the game and thinking metaphorically (looking for 'real life' comments) is meh ... But i love this writing. Cult of Absolute is like tool to control crowd (like using religion, ideology) ... i think this story (depends how you handle decisions) is about escaping from influence of such things, escaping from control, rejecting temptation of power, seeking freedom and living for yourself with good company. Because view of story depends on our choices - that means ... it's perfect artistically. If you are able to make something that works like mirror, you are artist without doubt.

3. Characters, i like them. The most surprising for me was Wyll and Karlach. Both had best transformations from EA to release.
Some characters have ... similar problems (i feel the thing that was missing here was... moments where companions learns from each other and someone else experience ... and makes their own decisions - not because... i try to persuade them). One of examples are Shadowheart and Lazel (both brainwashed, but in different way ...). This also kinda relates to my 2nd point because ... even our companions escapes from power/influence etc. I had no interest in Wyll and he was in my camp all the time ... but he's talk with father was somehow most emotional moment for me, more than Astarion (when Astarion said 'thank you' after his happy ending, that moment somehow was powerful).

4. Game is immersive, not 'fake immersive' - some people think that FPV = immersion ... FPV do not guarantee that the game will be immersive (i don't want to point finger ...).

5. Game doesn't have forced 'political correctness' - it's just D&D world.

I think there's a lot of things. Yes, game have some issues there and there but ... it's the best game i played since ... i even don't remember laugh Reception is well deserved. EA created some expectations but ... i wasn't disappointed at all. There are some titles on the market where hype is created by creators ... this may even last for years ... and then boom ... reality hits hard. In this case i was satisfied - today it's super rare.

I've only got to about a quarter into act 2 and stopped for a while, so I don't have full knowledge on the game. So far it would be, Lae'zel & Shadowheart, goblin dialog, the whole Underdark section of the game, probably bard and druid for classes, freckle slider, oh and I was pretty impressed with how Dragonborn looked.

That should be my top positives so far.

1) The overall Artistry and thought that went into designing this game - the music alone is just brilliant and is being praised by musicians and music directors for it's depth and complexity.
2) The character design and writing is excellent, as well as the Voice acting talent. The characters are also all distinct and not cookie cutter.
3) There are deeper themes that deal with how evil works in this game than you usually see from video games. Those themes are available to be explored and understood or not.
4) The game challenges players to really think about choices in ways that i usually don't see.
5) There are numerous respectful homages and references to the previous work, and a lot of references to obscure parts of the D&D universe.
6) There are over 600+ books/notes/letters in the game. I am still finding more of them.
7) I look forward to the next year as they perfect the game and add additional content.

There is so much more, but really I love the work Larian has done, and the statement they have made with this work. I could probably write a dissertation on the brilliant depths of this game but nobody would read it so I won't.

Well, in short - everything.

A well done D&D implementation up to level 12. Lots of race and class choices. Lots of spells. Plus the many Larian changes.

An extremely rich world full of details to find.

Great storytelling all around. Lots of great characters. Lots of great storyarcs that may or may not happen in your own playthrough.

A welldone combat system. Though I really hate the concept of concentration spells.

Insanely high replayability.
