Hi Fellow baldurians!

I am making this post to get the dev to add more dices to the game legitimatly so we don't have to mod the game. I am thinking some reward based dices would be awesome. Feks. if you complete a certain story line or achievement you could unlock a cool dice to use (without using mods etc). That would be really cool

now for everyone who will say "just download a mod". I did and the one dice mod kinda broke my game, i couldn't get any achievements since steam blocked them when i used mods and also the game itself threw a hissifit everytime i logged in due to me using mods (witch is annoying as hell).

So what do you guys say? would it be cool if Larian studios added more legitimate dices so we could customize our experience even more?

My issues with mods for dive, is everyone needs to mod. Would be great if dice where not mods but like a collectable. I will go even further, Larian missed a business opportunity. If they sold dice for like $1 for a new die or $3 for a set of 5 I think a lot of people would buy them. These should be super easy to create and Larian could have sourced some extra income with no harm to the customer base.

I know some people will now go nuts about microtransactions, but this is the type of Microtransaction I do not mind. It has ZERO impact on the game, is 100% purely cosmetic and if the price stayed cheap I am okay with that.

If you look at the kind of DLC that Larian have done for DOS2, I would expect some small bits of free DLC to arrive at some point later down the road and dice skins seem like just the thing that could be one or two of those. It's not a huge deal if they don't do it but it definitely would be nice imo.

I think that you are right about them making money off of it, but I think that they would lose a great deal of respect too. At the moment they have a large built in group of "immediate buy" for their next early access, but microtransactions might move the needle on that.

There are currently 3 dice in game for people with deluxe and it's Larian that decided to make dice skins a DLC so that's totally on them when it brakes

I love my dice too. And zero interest in swapping them for another. And I loved how easy it was to swap dice lol! More games need that feature, you don't have to go into the menu and select an option. Just basically go to the bottom of the page and switch dice

Okay, first of all, "dice" is already plural. Unless you're talking about cooking, there's no such word as "dices".

Like most gamers, I love dice IRL and have far too many. Yet I find myself unable to care about what they look like in a computer game, if they aren't functionally different in some way. But it's likely I'm in a minority here - I think DLCs that just change the look of dice have done okay for other games. This would probably be popular if someone did it, though I'd probably mostly ignore it myself.

i agree with you, i wouldn't mind soe microtransactions on this tbh. I'm a huge fan of costumization and when i play D&D irl i have one dice set for each character etc. That adds flare in my opinion. So it would be lovely to see some more otions in hat categoy without having to mod since gettinga achievements ioos also a huge part of my "to do" list ^^

Also Philosoraptor: Yes i misspelled dice but my point still stands. More dice costumization is only awesome and i would love to see some achievement based dice beeing added.
