Respectfully, those are paraphilias. A paraphilia is precisely not a sexual orientation, but a fetish. Some paraphilias are also classified as a mental illness (pedophilia). Every paraphilia is considered a common enough mishaps in the developing "love map" of the human brain.
Sexualities and sexual orientations include: hetero- and homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality. These sexualities can be found all over the animal kingdom. They are hence natural states.
Polyamory has NOT been historically considered a sexual orientation (because you can be poly and of any sexual orientation). Polyamory is as much a kink as monogamy is, because it's its direct opposite. I like this definition:
"Polyamory is a form of ethical, or consensual, non-monogamy that involves having romantic or sexual relationships with multiple partners at the same time. Ethical, or consensual, non-monogamy describes relationships in which all parties are aware of and consent to practice non-monogamy."
The default state of most humans is monogamy, but not all of them. I know this is hard to imagine. If it helps, ask yourself: "Are male lions absolute perverts to seek the company of this many females... or are they wired this way?". If you look, there's really all sorts of configurations out in nature. It's just an evolutionary preference based on cost/investment per mate. It's a separate axis from what gender you're attracted to. But, it's also not a paraphilia (as said, those other non monogamous species out there aren't universally perverted)
.
I'm not sure why you've quoted me in this pile of thoughts of yours nobody here asked for, but whatever.
I'm not interested, I absolutely don't give a damn about those concepts invented by some smart and also no-so-smart people. Be prepared to be lectured for naming only 4 sexual orientations, though. Unthinkable in 2023 lol
Also looking at humans as mere animals maybe insulting on its own, but it has some truth nevertheless. As I said, I couldn't care less.
