But as long as it doesn't kill any timed quests, it doesn't seem to be an issue to take 4 or so long rests in a row.
How can you say it is not an issue? To do nothing but go to bed every day for half a dozen days in a row is absurd, and totally immersion-breaking; you are reminded that you are playing something artificial. The idea that a bunch of people with mindflayer tadpoles in their skulls would be happy to chill out for a week at camp, is insane.
