a friend of mine an I found a solution how to save Dammon but in a bit complicated way. There is an appearance range that let's you prevent spawning the Strange Ox and not initiating the Fight. the method we used is that one character is strength based with crates, featherfall, Haste and Potion of Vaulting with something that disables the Strange Ox like Polymorph. After that our character jumped from the crates at max range
