One thing I've seen as an issue is that magical items don't list the base item that they are.
Like the magic item "Least Expected". Nowhere does it describe this as a short bow of xxxx magical ability and includes this spell-like function.
I've bought the wrong magical items at times because the rapier and scimitar look very similar at times.
