Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Tooltips are STILL permanently toggled OFF while looting (PC + Controller)

When playing on PC with a controller, the looting interface has a toggle (R3) that switches tooltips on/off. It is off by default and it resets *every time* you open a loot window. Whenever you loot anything, you have to press R3. There is never a time when I don't want to see tooltips. This is an issue that was introduced by one of the hotfixes. I know this because this was NOT a thing on release.

I literally only made this account because this I haven't seen anyone talk about this, but it makes the game unplayable for me. Pleeeease address this.

Hello! Thanks for this thread, I am playing BG3 with gamepad on PC since release and only on this week I faced this annoying issue, it requires to press right stick every time when I loot anything to see what is this thing, everything was fine with this before

YES YES YES...extremely frustrating to have to click the right stick EVERY time i look in a crate, to re-enable tooltips, in order to be able to see information on the items inside.

Over a year later and Larian still haven't fixed this. It's very annoying to say the least. I'm sure it's an easy fix as well. C'mon Larian!
