Amazon is a mixed bag, they have The Boys but they also have The Rings of Power - which consumed so many resourced that they had to pull other more successful projects or trim their budgets - they don't seem to have a good process for quality control - just the lack of awareness that they spent 1 billion dollars to make a show that is utter nonsense is also astonishing. Did no-one with critical thinking skills read that script?
I don't mean to turn this into an Amazon or ROP thread, but I just wanted to thank you. You voiced (or typed, rather) exactly the problem I had with the trailers, the PR, and the clips shown by reviewers both positive and negative. There was, as far as I could tell, virtually no internal review on any aspect of the series. I even caught Amazon in the act of editing one of the trailers after another poster and I commented on an obvious problem with it - but even that edit merely highlighted the issue rather than actually fixing anything.
But anyway, that's not what this thread is about. Back to lurking I go...
