Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Suggestions & Feedback Patch 3 and still no way to disable camera auto-centering on selected character?

What am I missing? Patch 3 was so large and the game is so good, this auto centering on the selected character seems like a such a weird over sight. Just a toggle setting in the options to stop the camera from centering on the character that’s been selected is all that’s needed.

This is such a simple thing. Please, Larian… please add this… I can’t be the only one that is driven crazy by having to keep scrolling back to the location of the camera before I selected a different party member. You’re constantly selecting party members during each play session and this auto-centering is so annoying.

It wasn’t promised in patch 3 but I was still kind of surprised this change wasn’t in it. This is such a common place feature….

Click the F1-4 to select a character and double click F1-4 to select a character and center the camera on that character.

there are tons of little QoL/polish features missing from BG3. No companion inventory management when they're in camp, no hireling customization, no walk toggle, no gear or dye preview, no shield model (and weapons floating on your back), no transmog, - took them three patches to add the magic mirror??

We all love the game but it definitely feels underbaked in the polish dept. Hopefully they slowly patch it to perfection and if not - mods.

Patch #5.... and still no support to turn off auto-centering?

Another great patch to an all time game.

But why not make this a simple checkbox? From what I've read this is exactly how it worked in Early Access.
