Here you see my first attempt to recreate a BG3 character in DazStudio - Karlach. Still obviously a lot of work to do. I only have one hairstyle with the side of the head shaved, couldn't find an exact match for her horns, and haven't done any of the scarring on her body. I'll keep working on and trying to improve her when I get a chance.








Who will win? What's this all about anyway? Does it matter? Probably not.

Karlach should probably be much taller as well. Does anyone know exactly how tall Baldur's Gate 3 characters are supposed to be?

This hair might be a better match for Karlach's? For the horns I will likely have to export the ones I have to Blender to modify them. But next I'll probably move on to Shadowheart and Astarion since I think I should already have the parts to do a decent approximation of them.

Also keep forgetting Karlach's tail. No excuse really; I specifically went and bought a tail for her, but I keep forgetting to attach it. But I've saved most of these scenes so I can easily go back and redo them sometime in the future. In the meantime, enjoy this:

Don't worry; it's just a magic trick. They'll sew him back together when they're done.

Incidentally I do take requests, or at least I'll consider them (and of course they only get posted if they're PG-13). Currently I have all the OG companions from BG2 and I'll be slowly adding the BG3 cast as well.

Some more sparring. I'd have a preferred a higher cut tunic for Aerie, but this was this best I have for now (there was an old tunic I really liked for her but I haven't gotten it to fit the new figure). It's fine except that in some poses the front slips down too much and you can see her... well, suffice I always cover them back up before posting.

This might have been the start of a longer comic, but who knows if I'll ever do that. I do have some magic effects I haven't gotten a chance to show off yet.

Anyway, what would have happened is that a mercenary shows up, hired by slavers to take out Aerie. A wizard slayer or someone very resistant to magic so that most of Aerie's offense can't touch them. She'll have put up a valiant fight while the others escape, but got her ass kicked until she remembers being taught that there's no shame in retreating and living to fight another day, so does that.

A red haired dark elf has been one of my default RPG characters since... probably Daggerfall in fact.

Finally got an Orc figure.

Lae'Zel Version 1.0. Just a little texture work to do. And I foolishly assumed it would be easy to find ears like hers, but I couldn't find an exact match. Should probably have started with Gale and Wyll; obviously they'll be along at some point.

Sometimes I just see a set or prop and have to use it.

Wasn't sure how the sparkles would look. If I had been I'd have tried to position Shadowheart so you can see her face more clearly.

Actually what I should have done was have Aerie on Minsc's back like so, and Boo on top of her head so it's like a totem of righteous butt-kicking.

Someone else noticed it, but in the last picture with Jaheira I painted over some clipping on her skirt... but, I forgot about her reflection so you can still see it there.

Couple of typos in the last set. Those are things I can easily correct, but won't necessarily show up in your browser if you already viewed the incorrect version.

And the thing Gale is saying to Aerie is basically the tenets of her faith as a follower of Baervan Wildwanderer. Her religion is basically all about exploration. And indeed travel and seeing and experiencing as much as she can is the only personal ambition she ever expresses. Settling down anywhere never really suited her.
