Finishing Act 2 n my second run and I'm struck by how terrible Dame Aylin is:
War Crime 1
Not respecting prisoners of war.
Kethrick Thorm had given up and surrendered to my MC. He was broken and about to become my prisoner. Along came the brutal Aasimar with a personal vendetta who broke my spell. For some reason I could hardly get a word in before Kethric, galvanized, was forced to take up arms again.
War Crime 2
Extending and prolonging war of choice.
Kethrick Thorm was the General of the army of the Absolute. He had the power to surrender the army, disband, de-animate. But no! No thought given to the people of the Sword Coast and Baldur's Gate. She had to have her vengeance no matter the cost paid by others.
Being a total jerk
Dame Aylin said a pointed truth to Shadowheart, cleric of Shar, which both saved Aylin's life and turned Shadowheart from Shar. Aylin promised to reveal more once Kethric was defeated. Shadowheart suffered greatly Shar's wrath + highly anxious to learn more. Long story short, Kethric defeated, time for explanation? Nope, our two minute convo can wait the night. Eh?! Spill the beans damn it. MC gave her Kethric and SH is MC's priority. Definitely getting strung along by the warmonger.
Conclusion?
I say guilty! She's a chronically lying oathbreaker paladin, probably of Bhaal! ;-)
What say you all - yay or nay?
