items that make a set is really nice. that's one of the things that i really like in diablo 2.

instead of having monsters drop gold pieces, gems & stuff, why not drop some body parts which can be used in forging armour & weapon? dragon heart is a good example. i think it's more meaningful if creatures or enemies drop something that pertains to them which is very relevant to the feel of the game.

let' say your level 20 warrior beats a hydra but not before drinking so many potions & a bit of hit-&-run. BUT if your warrior beat the pair of cobras (dubbed king & queen cobra) before & forged an armour made of their skin or drink a potion which their poison is part of the ingredient or whatever, your warrior is more resistant to the specific poison attack that the hydra deals out & therefore the fight is made easier.

now that will make more sense than a ghost dropping carrots & breads. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
