If you care about spoilers, don't read this.. I'm getting sick of posting these things so I've given up on hiding stuff

Latest patch has made it literally impossible to continue the game.

I just did the confrontation with the Githyanki in the mountain pass. Obtained the Blood and decided to clear out the Creche.

Since my characters were starting to become a bit overloaded with loot I decided to go back to act 1 and find a vendor.

Not a chance of doing that, after the cut scene with Voss I can literally not leave the camp, every time I try to the loading screen gets to 33% and crashes.

Tried to load an earlier save and because of the fact nearly all of my saves at this point are in the mountain pass. There's not exactly a lot I can do to revert this. Every save I've tried just ends up with the same result.


Work Around: Ventured fourth to act 2 rather than back and picked up every dead body in the Mountain Pass/Monastery. All details on how I came to the conclusion in my latest post. (Including dead animals)

Sounds a lot like this issue, which seems to be caused by a corrupted NPC body somewhere in your world

There Is a workaround for it if you can go back to an old save and figure out where the offending "dead" body is - for details read this thread!

Thank you for offering a solution but sadly this didn't help, proceeded to go back to an earlier save and pick up every dead body that me and my party had a hand in.

Still didn't help and the game is still proceeding to crash.

Also as a side note, I don't have a save before the mountain pass.. This still feels like a wild oversight.

I had a similar problem - after the talk with Elminster in the Mountain Pass camp I could not leave it through the map. I got out by clicking on the campfire.
Maybe this trick will work?

Still crashing.

Tried both symbol and bonfire its-self. Tried map, tried pretty much everything at this point. Verified files, restarted PC, reinstalled game.

Sent bug report.

Just came here to say, I've been having the same problem all afternoon — on both PS5 and Mac. Can't progress at all since all travel forces me back to a camp cutscene with Voss, which seems to be the thing triggering the can't-leave-camp-without-crashing problem. Hope there's a fix soon frown

I suggest starting up the launcher and clicking send a bug report at the top of the launcher, the more information the devs have the better. They will send you an email asking what they require and how to get those things (Mac as well)

Since I'm on PC I had to send my CrashDump file DxDiag and my latest saves.

For anyone else suffering the same issue I suggest doing the same, as already mentioned, the more they know the better and the quicker it gets fixed.

Right so I got curious

I decided I would progress onto act 2 from the Creche entrance, It loaded.. So I decided to do some testing and try to load up any way points in act 1. Every way point in act 1 From the Nautiloid > The Forge crashed.

So it basically boils down to something in act 1 of my saves.

Now, I'm able to waypoint between the Mountain Pass waypoints and Act 2 waypoints with no issues.

I picked up all dead bodies including any bodies that my party didn't interact with in the monastery area similar to what the thread previously said.

Now I can't venture back to Act 1 Nautiloid > Forge, however I can venture between Act 2 and Act 1 Mountain Pass

Thank you again sir for finding this.

Hopefully they fix whatever is broken, but as it stands I have no way of venturing to the previous Act. While it's not too game breaking, it's a bit annoying having to make sure I pick up every dead body I see, especially considering it's a Dark Urge playthrough.

Since Changed the name of the thread to relate more to what the issue is.

Interesting temp fix; that's so strange.

Some others and I are also experiencing this in a couple different threads for the Act1/Creche bug specifically:

So far everyone I've seen experiencing this is playing Dark Urge.
I'm tempted to re-submit my bug report with that information in case it helps them diagnose it, but I'm not sure if it's relevant and I'm hesitant to look up if there's something specific that might be causing it like a cutscene or quest since this is my first DU run.

I was able to progress to Act 2 normally, but any attempts to teleport or zone to an Act 1 map after Voss has done his cutscene will crash the game.
Which isn't acceptable for me since I was saving grymforge until after the creche.

I ended up reloading my save all the way back to the tiefling camp to make some choice changes to this play while I wait for a patch... really hoping this is fixed by the time I finish mountain pass again.

Interesting! That seems.. Very coincidental. A little too coincidental in my opinion. I'll do some more testing after I wake up and see what I come up with.

You're welcome. Not my find originally btw. @Winterfell gets that honour!

In case anyone missed this detail from the other thread - in the other cases I've seen this was a "dead" NPC that had nonzero hit points. Not sure if that's always the case but if it is it should help narrow it down quicker.
