Yup, though it still won’t address a more fundamental issue. They shouldn’t trigger, or be altered if player isn’t actively romancing them.

This is the issue with cutscenes - they take away our control from our character and make them do stuff I as a player don’t want (like my PC sitting uncomfortably close to Gale and looking into his eyes like a puppy. Not having them trigger at all would be an option, but that’s not great as most companion interactions seem to be locked behind romances. Cyberpunk had similar issue, even though whom one can romance was greatly limited per-playthrough. You can’t have same content act as “friendly” and “romantic” options. It just doesn’t work.
