during the quest where you go to the githyanki creche you can steal an egg for Lady Esther. She is supposed to the egg to the Society of Brilliance so that he could live a different life without the influence of the githyanki ways. There two ways to get the egg from the Hatchery, if you steal it or if you talk to Varsh Ko'kuu. If you talk Varsh Ko'kuu he asks you what would you do with the egg if he lets you have it. I usually choose the option of "I would raise it as my own" he eventually give you boots so you can walk through the acid pool to get the egg. After you get the egg you can either give the egg to Lady Esther or kill her and keep it. The problem is if you give her the egg she takes it to the Society of Brillance and they pretty much abuse him and he ends up killing them and if you keep the egg when you get to Baldur's Gate someone from the society buys it off you and they still hatch it and abuse him. I don't like either outcome so I keep the egg for myself but if you keep the egg for yourself it never hatches and just stays in your inventory and Lae'zel gets mad you took the egg. I really would like an option to raise the Ptaris(his name) yourself and let him experience the good life and he stays at camp with you and he bonds with the other party members.
