@Ardeus I have not seen this one before. Can you include a screen cap of the boat?

Also aye, normally the Nere message plays after the first long rest once you have established the objective in your journal. Did you long rest 'at' Grymforge?

As for mods, normally if you have them at all, a concern will get dismissed by many as your bug being related to those without any further investigation. So make sure you've done all the stuff to remove them, make certain you've done everything below:

- Use ModManager to remove them from the load listing
- Make sure the mods themselves are removed from the Mods folder, that folder should be empty
- %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods (That is the folder that should be empty)

Next, need to address some leftover mod data just in case:

If the launcher is still giving a data mismatch warning, there should be a log file that shows any files in the installation folder that are not expected, as well as anything still in the mods folder. In order to check this, go here:

%LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Launcher\Cache

Then search for a text file called steam_<VersionNumber>_alteredFiles.txt (or if it's GOG, starting with 'galaxy_', for the GOG version). Get rid of any files it says are mismatched (save a copy of the files however in case that deletion causes some type of breakage in the application or you'll have to completely reinstall the game).

Finally, check here:

\SteamApps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data

Delete the following:

- Mods Folder
- Public Folder
- modsettings.lsx file

Restart the game, make sure the mismatch warning is gone if it isn't already, and post here if the problem persists.
