It's too blatant to never be touched upon again, i refuse to believe larian will never do something about it.
Oh for sure. Even from a cynical standpoint, it always benefits to give more attention to fandom's favorites. I worked in a similar industry, saw it happen every time. Make enough buzz about a character and it's very likely they'll get some extra work done. In EA Astarion was clearly the popular one, and look how much polish (granted, maybe apart from the epilogue) that earned him. Fanservice is a thing that exists.
I mean, he's still the popular one, but our girl is very close, and the buzz is substantial. Our local wet blankets over there clearly have no idea how the entertainment biz works lol
Besides, if cuts or rushed production are indeed to blame, then it's actually very likely that someone inside the studio is also frustrated with the end result (again, speaking from experience). People who don't care don't create games like this. Executives or whoever decides the deadline and direction, however, is another story entirely.
(And also even if in the end nothing gets fixed and we all end up being total clowns, well, there's no shame in staying stubborn and optimistic, fight me.)
