I played through DOS2 awhile ago and that game is give or take as long as BG3 and by the end i was lvl 28-30 with my party and the spells/skills were pretty strong but still pretty balanced like the enemies could kill me about as easy as i could kill them give or take some turns. and i'm sure someone will tell me i'm a fool and i'm comparing apples to oranges with the games but they are made in the same engine and similar mechanics and play almost the same to me.
as far as BG3 I did find one or two really rare spells late game one being power word kill and i think it was after i killed that one jerk that was before you get to orin the red that keeps trying to use power word kill on your party and i found out later on my durge playthrough i had learned it and saved it since it was a one time use spell and used it on the elder brain for lols at the end because Eff that boss. lol
