...Gale starts blathering about a contract I signed—apparently with Raphael—risking the Netherese Crown falling into the devil's hands, and something about a hammer, and how we need to head to the bookstore.

I have no idea what he's on about. Last I saw Raphael, it was after the episode with the Orthon.

Assuming that some flag must have glitched prompting Gale to talk about stuff that hasn't actually happened yet, I reloaded an earlier save from the circus bit, and initiated long rest once more—with the same result.

Is my game now irreversibly screwed for some (dare I say arcane?) reason, or is this a harmless glitch?
