The easiest races they could likely add in are ones they already have in as NPC's. Two examples I have run across thus far are
Githzerai and Shadar Kai
. There may be others I have not run across yet, but if they already have the basic mesh modeling done, it's then a process of writing in the dialog, story-lines, and putting voice acting in for responses to those racial options. Which still would be quite a bit of work and cost on the Dev's side to implement.
As to classes, I personally would like to see all the psionic sub-classes added in as I feel they would fit the story-line well.

I would love to see the Artificer, so I can make my newest DnD character (gnome artificer named Mirabelle Layne) Races: there are none in particular, I like to see, I hope, they fixed the halflings proportion in the finished game though. Aasimar might be nice, since Tieflings are in too.
I have to quote myself. I think we really should get artificer in the game, since they play such an important role in the game, especially act 3.
"We are all stories in the end. Just make it a good one."
Add my vote to the artificer So many parts of the game where artificer could have unique dialogue choices!
And then make Barcus Wroot a companion as he should be - I want my new best friend on adventures with me. At least, he will do everything to help me, should I ever gone missing. No, but seriously, he would make an awesome companion.

Especially when dealing with fellow artificer Gortash (the guy is obviously an Artificer, seeing as none of the other classes suit him and he has an Army of Robots/Steel Watch at his beck and call)

Gortash leeeched off of teh Gondians work, that is, what the whole steelfactory/Save the Gondians quets is about

If we do get more races, some of them should not have [Balduran] attached to them, like half races could go either way, depending on which parent culture raised them like for example there should be Balduran Half-Orcs (raised by humans) and Regular Half-Orcs (raised by orcs),
We could also get a Feywild themed races like Eladrin
(Feywild 4 Seasonal Elves, they're like more Elven than Regular Elves)
, Satyrs
(Female ones too)
, Harengon
(Rabbit Folk, think Miyamoto Usagi from the TMNT crossovers)
and Firbolg
(Cow People, not to be confused with the Other Cow people Minotaurs, Originally Vikings, gee thanks Critical Role)
Lizardfolk the official race for people who want to play a Dragonborn without boobs
(since Dragonborn are warm blooded egglaying mammals that nurse their young in the Official Canon, canonically Dragonborn are Monotremes.)
VAMPIRE BACkGROUND .. CLASS i think this would make a cool thing in the game even werewolf too.. there could be necromancer too.. dark urge could be choice of many things also the evil god thing dont want to spoil for others,, the thing is if we could have backgrounds and the dark urge be cool... vampire master or spawn be cool .. wolf man too also there could be more clasases or more backgrounds too..

Closest thing to playable Werewolves would be Shifters, they're half a werewolf and half human race from Eberron (different universe from Faerun, but is still part of D&D multiverse), we also had a Werewolf Companion/Origin Character that was cut from the game.
I think new races would be cool, but when it comes to race in general I place higher priority on balancing the races already present as options.
As far as classes/subclasses go, I'm honestly surprised that Divine Soul Sorcerers aren't already in the game.
As far as I'm concerned, Divine Soul Sorcerer is the correct class/subclass for The Dark Urge.
I'd also like to see Death and Twilight Domains as cleric subclasses,
Because they both work as lore-friendly Shadowheart subclasses, though the second only works depending on your choice in act 2
as long as Death Domain gives Bhaal as a cleric option, I mean since Bhaal & the lesser Dead 3 were ones of the few deities you could pick for Clerics in EA
I mean Githzerai would be cool, despite being enemies with the Githyanki, they do cease hostilities with eachother when Mindflayers are involved, it's pretty much the enemy of my enemy is my friend type of thing, but will return to fighting eachother once the Ghaik threat is dealt with.
