Yeah, something is going to have to be done by the admins. This is getting to be too much for the moderators to be able to--or even expected to--handle.

It's not getting better. It's getting worse.

Again, I think the real victims here are the moderators.

These forums have been through a lot. Running slow, gateway timeouts, it once said everyone had lost their account... Now daily attacks. There's got to be a real admin level solution.

Just hire the Dubai girls as moderators. They are already 24/7 on these forums, mod team would be unstoppable with them.

And they are back again. Is it just me or are those spams getting more frequent?

I think they are trying to make a statement.

I trust the deluge has stopped since I switched new members over to manual approval (i.e. by me) early last week. If any sneak through, please report them.

And apologies to new users who have to wait a few hours to be activated: I'm afraid it just gets done when I remember, but it's generally a few times a day.

Yes, unfortunately we seem to be under attack again. We're doing our best to keep the spammers away and I'm checking in when I can to tidy up when one does make it through. Salo also alerted the Larian IT department and hopefully they'll be able to help add some further protection.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic here mostly. Though I do miss some of the people, that moved on.
