Another option came to mind; however, it requires defiantly two must "ifs". IF you never encountered the caravan in any manner, and IF you have Neer's lute you might still be able to join the Caravan. Since you interacted with the Harpers I am not 100% positive they will still be there. Joining the caravan will give you safe passage to Moonrise Towers whereas noted you can obtain a Lantern.
