Dynia: Bard is clearly not for you, so maybe leave the bards posts be and stick to your overpowered party thread or however it is called. I'm on my second bard playthrough and they are amazing. They can cc, do a lot of damage and buff teammates. They are great in all speech checks and can be your Sleight of Hand character, if you don't want to have Astarion in your party all the time.
Sword bard get flourishes, which give them stuff like double attacks, mobility and more.
You are also talking mostly about melee, but how about you equip your sword bard with two hand crossbows? I do that ATM and I can tell you, that my girl does a lot of damage and even kill high level opponents in one round.
Lore bard with their cutting words can make all the difference in a battle, plus with magical Secret, the can get the best spells from all spelllists.
The point is, that bards can do all you mentioned above, which make them more versatile, than a pure caster or melee fighter or supporter. That is the point, they can be your get out of trouble card.
And the other charisma classes don't get the option to get expertise in speech skills, so yeah, they can talk with high charisma, but still a lot lower than bards.
As I said, you obviously don't really understand the class, which is ok, but don't come into the threads and try to scare new players away from playing that class, ok?
1. cc ? any caster do it better, even monk have stun :F
2. buff ? paladin, cleric or even sorc do it better
3. my sorc do speech checks always over 30 with high charisma and friends charm cantrip etc
4. anything is more supperior in melee than melee bard, i just give speed buf from boots that give sprint for bonus action for fighter and he also have superior jump lol, i give thief level 3 for my dual wield barb, astorian also get sprint for bonus action and astorian dual vielder in act 3 as superior vampire give 10 more dmg for each hand, also bear barb got 50% less dmg from any damage
my dual vield barb astorian do much better damage from hand crossbows as dual vielder and fighter level 1 lol
5. sorry to say but fire draconic sorc its best caster that can do over 300 dmg for single target from Scorching Ray xD also sorc with speed cast have best aoe spells in game and most aoe damage with spells per turn, give him haste also and bloodlust potion that make him aoe terrminator
in act 3 - blackhole to make everyone in one place from other char then give 3-4 aoe spells per turn that rekt everyone lol
in act 3 if you use lighting aoe spells and spec into lighting sorc you can kill whole stell watch in palace in one turn using black hole and lighting aoes
6. for summons necro wizard
7. bard can be everything and he is bad in everything cause pure classes do better than him that make him c tier crap xD
