I started playing a rogue/monk and had some questions.

Am I correct in concluding that I cannot use an unarmed attack as a bonus attack, other than Flurry of Blows?

Unarmed attacks, despite using DEX for the to-hit and damage bonus, aren't finesse attacks and can't use Sneak Attack?

Unarmed attacks can't dual wield?

Monks get the class feature "Martial Arts: Bonus Unarmed Strike" at level 1 for an unarmed attack as a bonus action.

Yes. Sneak Attack requires a finesse weapon.

You're not even "mono"-wielding. You're zero-wielding. Of course you're not dual wielding.

If you use the attack action as a monk then you will qualify for an additional bonus action unarmed attack. The initiating attack action does not need to be unarmed (though it can be). This bonus action unarmed attack does not cost ki, which makes it useful if you are out, or if you want to save some for later.

Off hand attacks also require a bonus action, so if you have only one bonus action then you must use one or the other. If you take the thief subclass then you will have 2 bonus action attacks, and you could opt to use one for unarmed attack and one for off hand attack (but you would need to use the attack action first, in order to qualify for the bonus action unarmed attack).

I don't know how unarmed attacks interact with sneak attack in BG3, so perhaps somebody else can answer that. I do know (and have personally confirmed) that if your strength is higher than your dex you do use strength to attack and damage for unarmed attacks.

As a monk, whenever you do an unarmed attack or attack with a monk weapon, you can preform an unarmed attack as a bonus attack. If you have the thief subclass, you can do two of these if you stagger them: action attack, bonus attack, action attack, bonus attack.

You cannot use unarmed attacks for sneak attacks, but you can use daggers and short swords as monk weapons. Eventually, unarmed attacks with certain gear will put scale this, but in the mid game it is viable.

Unarmed attacks do not dual wield, but you can use unarmed attacks as bonus actions, so it doesn’t matter.
