Hi there!
The fact is that I started playing bg3 a few days ago, and faced such a problem. My party has already spent 5 (or even more?) nights at the campsite, but the cutscene with Astarion still hasn’t appeared. I know it should be here by now. That is, I’ve already seen a Mysterious Guest from a dream, Mizora came for Will and so on - but my party still doesn’t know that Astarion is a vampire. Is that normal? Maybe there was some kind of bug?
I fell a little anxious about it. I would be grateful if you could tell me what's the matter)

Have you found a boar drained of blood yet? If not, then look out for one.

The Astarion bite scene appears after you find and click on a drained boar somewhere. I think its location varies depending on where you go first (it did in EA at least) but generally en route to the ruined village (Moonhaven). I generally find it just before the bridge that is on the shortest route to there from the druid grove.

It sometimes takes a bit longer, when your approval with him isn't that high. I had that scene in my first playthrough around teh goblim camp. But I think Red Queens spoiler tip helps.

I mean, you can stop him from biting you at all - but you should get the cutscene if you are resting regularly and he is in camp. You can also limit his food to non-sentient kills but he won't love you for it.

I had low approval with him until Act 2 because I set firm boundaries with him.

Thanks for the advice, but I had already seen a dead boar near that bridge…
Now I really think that the point is in low approval. Maybe this cutscene will be a bit later

A cutscene will occur if Astarion is alive although it may be somewhat altered from what you may have previously experienced or been told. It unlocks a Character Ability. Increasing sufficient rapport is the main trigger.

Each player will experience it differently.

Each origin character has a second opportunity to be added to your camp if you left them alive during the first encounter.
There is information and encounters that if successful your Avatar will be aware Astarion is a vampire prior to the cutscene. (Hence why it may be altered - basically shortened).

The game has multiple opportunities for many things. Such as, besides the boar there is another animal carcass close that can lead to the same "encounter" if you do not interact with the boar. If you did interact with the boar no matter what the result was the other carcass will not produce the encounter and simply be corpse to loot. But still has information for you if you take the time to read its loots description.

I had a run going where I got pretty far in and was wondering when he was going to try to have his sneaky little feed and guess what?
He just walked up and said "hey I've got a confession to make, I'm a vampire!"

For me, it triggered 2 long rests AFTER the boar. I was well into the Goblin Camp by then. Give it some time smile I'm sure he'll decide you look delicious soon.

To be clear. If your intention is to actually be bitten by Atarion not just have the cut scene occur, then you can create a situation where that is not option. Best not engage in dialogue with Astarion that might lead to confirming he is one until the after the cut scene occurs.

If you want to ensure the option for Astarion to actually bite you in the cut scene, click goblins.
