Having this same issue.
I speak with him the first time and he says "Finally we can speak face to face" and then the cutscene abruptly ends like it's going to splice in another cutscene that just... doesn't exist. I can't talk to him again as my Dark Urge.
The other companions in the party can talk to him just fine but it definitely feels like I'm missing content the way it drops scene like this.
Reported to Larian with a save file.
