My suggestion & feedback would be to say something about the FSR update. I have noticed a fair amount of people ask; what is happening about it, and not a peep from Larian since you told us it would be updated around the ps5 launch on 6 September....

Some transparency would go a long way with your paid customers.

Thank you.

FSR is Fidelity FX Super Resolution, a technique AMD made that allows for rendering at a lower resolution and then upscaling for final display, using various algorithms and sharpening techniques to mitigate any potential image quality lose.

As for the OP, Larian has always been very closed about timing for updates and in my opinion for good reason. Developers get hammers when they give update specifics before release. If they come out later they are hammered for not being on time. If they come on time but the feature has an unforeseen issue they are hammered for not making it right or rushing it.

Back in the early days of PC Gaming devs spent a lot of time on forums, talking to gamers. It showed in game features and later updates. However communities became toxic for developers. Demanding changes because a few gamers did not get their instant win button, or insulting devs for an issue that was undetected or for missing deadlines. Devs just reached the point that for their mental health it was best to avoid forums and focus on their work.

I agree with you however, some transparency would go a long way as to why its not happened yet or as to an update on the progression.

In regards to them being closed about timing for updates; the information we are all going by was released by Larian themselves regarding the FSR update around the time of PS5 launch.......
If some one came around to concrete my driveway, prepped the ground then left for a month, I'd inquire as to why.

Every job some one is under the hammer for schedules, developing is not exclusive. Devs get far too much leniency for broken products. If they don't like the deadlines they can change job just like every one else.
I guess something for Larian to take from this is; Don't make promises you can't keep on your products.

If they want to stay in touch with how their product is doing; then being on the forums is a smart idea, regardless of the narrow minded people that are abusive or say yucky things (the non-constructive ones)

Transparency works and keeps everyone in the knowing. I'm sure Larian has a community manager or a person that fills that role that could be telling SOMEONE/ANYONE what is happening with it for word to spread......

I agree that they should at least say something about it, or a new expected ETA.

I play games only once, and I want to enjoy the best experience, so I would like to know if it's better to wait (for a game that i already bought) or I have to accept to play with the obsolete FSR1, which also brings the unwanted gift of removing the AA everytime you start the game (And you need to scroll all the way down the options to enable it...)

Yeah, the trick is to give general information; don't overpromise. All they need to say is "we're still working on it but due to complications we're now aiming for next month" rather than giving a hard date that can be missed. I mean really it'd just be nice to know it's still being worked on and still on its way.

I will say though, the game still looks pretty damn good under "only" FSR 1.0, surprisingly so even; main issue for me was, as savior says, the AA turns off every time you close the game which is super annoying. FSR 2.0 eventually is a nice to have, but a fix for the AA setting should really be as soon as possible.
