There are 2 specific encounters that I am aware of that require the use of non-lethal combat to obtain certain outcomes. Providing such outcomes in all encounters would be a rather daunting task considering the confines of the media. And Larain did not turn a blind eye to this potential outcome of combat. Some scenes do alter under various circumstances.
