Hi there. New to forum and pretty sure someone must have already brought this up, but searching "Mol" seems to return no results. I suppose a mild spoiler alert is in order here.
It seems like the early interaction with Mol is broken from a role playing perspective. My party arrives at the Druid's Grove,
we stumble upon the tiefling hideout, innocently start exploring it and are challenged by Mol. She gives us ten seconds to leave, we attempt to leave but can't make it to the exit fast enough. Mol runs outside and starts telling tiefling adults that we have been harassing children, which simply isn't true.
Now my only choices are to use deception, intimidation, attack, or turn myself in. Particularly as I am playing a paladin, I do not feel any of these responses are appropriate. What is worse, these challenges from tiefling adults seem to keep happening, kinda wrecking the game if you are attempting to be a "good" player.
It makes sense from a roleplaying perspective that Mol might lie about you - that's not the issue. The issue is the player is not given the opportunity to defend themselves (probably via a persuasion roll) and counter the false allegation. As it stands, the game seems set on punishing the player for failing to obey Mol quickly enough, which is frustrating and doesn't make a lot of sense.
