No, you can easily pass an Insight check to find the trap door to Mol’s hideout behind Doni, no need to turn into a mouse or anything. So it actually is quite easy to stumble upon her. That being said, it seems like she will always be hostile unless you have saved some of the kids first. And that kind of seems in character for her. You stumbled into her hideout, which you were never supposed to find because it was hidden. So she’s being dramatic and getting people to kill you. Seems in character to me. So I didn’t personally interpret it as a bug.
In the last installment of the Adventures of Dev'zel, this was the exact scenario faced by the Lae'zel party.
Devora passed the Insight check and discovered the hideout, for a thrilling finish to the exploration in Part 4 of the Dev'zel saga...
She listened to Mol grumble, count down and then split, before stealing like all the stuff in the hideout lol. Aces! That was where the last episode ended, still in the hideout heheh.
Fortunately they saved right beforehand, so I guess we'll see how it all shakes out next week! Watching her find the hidden hideout was the best capper ever! Check it in the vid below to see how it all happened...
But yeah, it's kinda easy to stumble onto that one early, or do something random that has the whole Grove going aggro. Like both the Tiefs and the Druids teaming up to take out the heroes of the gate, immediately after being saved? Seems dicey hehe.
In the Goblin camp its a bit easier because they have those war drums everywhere and it's possible to knock off one or two Gobbos without the whole village or temple going nuts all at once.
Wouldn't it make sense that if the player does stumble into a situation like that at the Emerald Grove, that maybe Kagha appears with a couple druids and tries to strongarm the party?
Or Zevlor shows up and the player gets thrown into the exact sort of tribunal type scenario mentioned?
You know, where the party could play out a few options short of insta slaughtering the entire place for like stealing a basket accidentally or whatever lol. Getting sent to jail isn't too bad, but it's probably not going to top the list in a game that sorta primes you to fight your way out of a lot of situations. What is nice is that you can always b line for the exit and join the Goblins, having done some of the dirty work already, maybe have Minthara pick up the slack, but more likely a reload I guess. If trying to be even remotely lawful, or good, or like just don't want to go full T2 Judgment Day at lvl 2 before we even really knowing what's going on at the Grove. Cause it's right there by the first area with the mysterious Oxen.
Pretty classic for a Lae'zel run! This was after already killing Aradin, like twice I think? hehehe yup, just double checked lol.
First he was all 'Feck off mum' and Devora was having none of that!!!
Like a badass Lae'zel totally handled Aradin for talking all that trash on Dev'zel. After Shadowheart missed the firebolt, Lae'zel snuffed him out with a quickness. But then Remira jumped in? And the two tiefs upstairs! Both the other two humans in Aradin's crew had died at the gate earlier, so the Tiefs were choosing Aradin over the heroes from the Gate???
"No talking your way out of this" so things got hectic fast!
Then on the reload, all Dev'zel did was swipe Aradin's drink, but it went straight back into a fight! And Remira was willing to go knives out again... just to save Aradin's beer? Lol All it took was one drink! heheh Well ok, maybe somebody opened a barrel in Dammon's smithy area and made an attempt on Ethel's potions. But for all Remira knew it was just a mug of ale right? Even if Dev'zel had thrown it in his face you'd still think Arka at least would have backed that play.
Here it is right at that part...

Anyway, same sort of thing there pretty much. Like an accidental loot with wildly disproportionate consequences coming from the Teeth-lings. Lakrissa should be able to defuse the situation a bit one would think, but it was already in the full scrap.
Anyhow, the greatest streams! Honestly, so good! Highlights a lot of stuff in the nuts and bolts of the first time out playing BG3. Lae'zel rocks regardless! Every single time!
