OP hyperboled a little, but their problem was that you can
admit to Alfira's murder, which has been portrayed as exceptionally brutal, and they just shrug it off as "probably the tadpole", yet later your love interest seems surprised you have such cravings when you get to the unique cutscene in act 2, as if you never admitted to the Alfira murder.

Well, isn't that still logical?

They didn't see you kill Alfira, they see you admitted killing her and attributed it to the tadpole.

Later they are become the prospective victim and experience what Alfira did. Thus shocked response.

Either way, isn't it not a big of a deal?
