The Best Schools So Far in the Game for Mage is Abjuration if im not Mistaken in the name (Same as Gale, for power is the Best one becouse of the Passiv yu can trow a bunch of massiv targets without hurting your party) or Necro..
But if yu go with Necro i will advice yu to Mix with another thing.. Full Mage in this game its not that Great like in Table Top.. so Go with 10 mage 2 fighter to get heavy armor and action surge or go with 3 thief for another action 9 mage (The TRUE arcane Trickster) that was the best combo i did so far with Mage.
Fun fact the arcane Trickster Build i used all the Time in Astarion but with him i always gave him the Necro book of Fay and go with Necro since he is a Vampire and a Thief Feels pretty cool for him this way.
(But if yu Trully want to Become a Demi God Spellcaster Scrap mage and Make a Sorlock 8 sorcer,2 fighter,2 lock)
trust me.. thats the strongest spell caster in the Game So far.. theres nothing better.
and yu can even deep down on Ilithid Powers too just to Broke the game beating evrybody solo in 3 turns..huahauhauha
Yeah im not Joking this is real.. just look around on the Youtube and yu will find a bunch of badass guides in making the Supreme Sorlock.
