Not sure how much I buy that they cut it because it was too long cause I doubt it'd be longer than 10-20mins what with different permutations.
That and they spent money getting it VO'd to only decide after that it's too long.

That and it looks super rushed and hilarious.
I didn't mean it like that. I think it's a good scene on its own and a very emotional one for a lot of people. Zentu felt very strongly about it, likely inspiring this thread.
What I meant to say was that while we asked for Larian to expand upon obvious clues regarding a fix for her engine (Gondians, enriched infernal iron), we instead got this cutscene.
As for that video, from what I remember, Swen said that the final parts of Act 3 felt to him like they were already overstaying their welcome even without the epilogues, so they decided to cut those out. But they'll be adding the epilogues back, likely re-recorded and hopefully with accompanying scenes or at least some motion graphics.
