So another Tiefling.
No thanks I rather have Helia as first "short" companion and with a interesting gimmick if written well (especially if she can bite the PC like Astarion later can)

I agree and I think, that she would fit really well into the story - we could maybe find her near the hags teahouse, because she is desperate to be cured from her condition. I think, some of the soundfiles might even hint at a bit more with the hag, maybe she was investigate the hag.
There is even someone in act 3, who might be a werewolf (since I'm sure, that character is not a druid, but a cleric:
it's Shadowhearts father, who can turn into a wolf. He could very well have ties to Helias story, which would tie her in with Shadowhearts story. Or the brainwashed werewolves in Cazadors palace could be tied to Helia, which in turn could tie her story to Astarions

I think, this character is just a missed opportunity: one of the small races, a class, that is not taken by another companion and is very useful in game, a potentially interesting background story, that could give us more lore about DnD werewolves. More lore and story is always good.
And lets not forget some interesting interplay with Shadowheart.
