Was playing around with Mask of the Shapeshifter on Astarion and Came across male gnome that fit Astarions voice (at least imo). So out of curiosity if you could race swap one of the companions who would it be and to what?

Also there might be a bug with the mask, Masc. half-elf male and female are not showing up for me, but works fine with basic spell.

Gale as a Gnome, call him Gnale for short, I'm not really a fan of humans in my RPGs, like I literally spent the majority of my main DAO playthrough bullying Alistair.

Also Halsin would be turn into a Half-Orc or Orcsin for short.

Why - I'd like to have a Seldarine Drow follower but I cant see any of the existing characters as such.

Obviously one could switch Human/Half-Elf/Elf around with little problem. Shadowheart as High Elf for example. Astarion as Human. Etc.

Astarion I'd like as Halfling.

Gale as Gnome.

Wyll as Seldarine Drow, but it makes no sense whatsoever with the backstory.

Those are powergamer choices though.

Many companions are race-locked due to lore or just DnD history but I would have liked to see one of them as Dragonborn because the race is so lame as given to us by Larian almost anything is better than it for Tav. So Dragonborn Wiz to swap for Gale.

As an aside, I like to play hirelings too but I would swap out nearly all their races from their Larian supplied designations.

Yeah, I don't play with mods so its the helm item or Disguise Self spell, Dragonborn gale sounds interesting ill check that one out. Haven't tried hirelings out either, sooner or later.

I would like to see that you could have up to 3 hirelings and being able to swap them in and out just like every other character.

As it stands, it seems like if you dismiss them you lose access to them and have to rehire them again next time you want them. Well, I havent actually tried doing so, but I read its like that in this forum.

That makes hirelings basically uninteresting to me, since I swap around my party all the time and wanted hirelings to fill the gaps. Having to constantly level them up again whenever I rehire them is too much of a PITA to bother.
