Personally I think Backgrounds should play a bigger role than having just Inspiration Goals you need to complete, like we have [Balduran], [Class] & [Race], I feel like Backgrounds should also have Dialogue like for example if I go Soldier background you get 3 dialogue options like [Soldier] Mentions their time as a Flaming Fist, [Soldier] Mentions life as a Merc or [Soldier] Mentions life in a recent war,

It's not just one Background either like if I go [Criminal] you Mention working for the Guild, the Zhents or some other criminal organisation or if I go [Outlander] you Mention your life out in the wilds.

I probably could've said it better, but think I got the point across for what I'm getting at.

There are a few mods already to give yu more options in Backgrounds..
but they dont Gave yu new lines i Think..
and i will not lie to You Man.. i Dont beleave that they will add any new one..
they dont even fix there game so..
if i was yu man.. would not expect a lot from Larian..
(better look at modders they are doing more for this game then Larian actually, kinda of a Shame this.. just like Skyrim yu know.. the dudes are going out of there way to Fix the game and gave us new stuff while larian is on Vacation looks like.)

I was going for adding new lines, than adding more backgrounds, but that sounds cool too.

Some of then gave yu Pretty Unique Background like Arcane investigator and Stuff like that..
but just like i Said i dont know if these mods gave yu real new lines..
But Give a Try there are a Bunch of Cool mods already for this game not Joking..
just Take a Dive at Nexus Mod i bet yu will find at least something that will catch your eyes.
(theres even a Femstarion Mod already to make hin a woman.. and that stuff was really well made not Joking.. only the Lines its not Perfect but the Looks.. Its pretty F. Close to the Original one..)

Been a while but backgrounds do have dialog interactions already.

On a side note related to tags I was testing class tag earlier and noticed some classes don't get interactions while others do for example. When you interact with Zevlor and Aradin, you get a dialog choice for Rangers but not for cleric. I multiclassed Ranger and Lathander Cleric and been wondering if dialog only chooses one or we get both options.

Yup this Happens with Some Races too Humans almost dosent Have this..
i only find One when i was playing with gale in my party and i was human.
The most Cooolest ones for me whas always Soldier One.. i do love playing on Intimidation a Lot with Ludicrous Charisma so..
i was always the Boss in the Roon.. sorry Kethric.

Oh interesting, I did get several halfling choices. But they always came off as not fitting the character.
