Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Character Portrait Bug (?)

Unsure if this is actually a bug, or one of my many mods causing this, but I've scoured the internet for answers and haven't found any; I could just be using the wrong keywords, but I really don't know. Note, I haven't beat the game yet so I don't know if this is something that happens later on in the game due to story reasons, and is for some reason happening in Act I before I've even beat the goblin camp, so please bear with me. Whenever I level up to level 4, my portrait goes from normal to this creepy af smile that honestly wigs me the hell out. Like, so much so I had to stop playing when I noticed it, reload an older save, and wonder what the heck I can do to fix this. Anyone have any insight? Or is this an actual bug? Thanks in advance!

I don't scare easily but lemme tell you, when I finished leveling and was about to start a fight, only to see THAT SMILE in my portrait, I nearly shit myself lmao I dunno what evil I committed but DAMN.

....could it be related to Dark Urge?

I was thinking maybe it was related to Durge, but the weird thing is that my character isn't a Durge...so like...why my boy gotta look way more evil in his portrait than my actual Durge character in another campaign...

Maybe this is some Secret Achievement? Or a reminder from your Guardian to clean up your room?
