I have a question for the experts, not sure if this is the right place to ask it. My question is (hopefully) wrapped in a spoiler tag here:

In my current play through, I opted to help Shadowheart achieve Dark Justiciar status, and lead the Sharran church. This of course required the death of the Nightsong. Now, I've gotten to Act 3 and Sorcerous Sundries, and confronted Lorroakan and told him she's dead. He had a fit, and then the dialog ends. No attack, no questions, nothing else. Any time I speak to him again, he just whines and "hangs up on me" smile

So my spoiler question is, with Nightsong dead, how do I get into the Sorcerous Vaults? Simply attack the man for no real reason? That seems a bit rude... though I have no problems robbing him blind. Does he have to die for me to raid his vaults?

Thank you!

I never played the evil route myself, but this is how i did it. I always went for the redemption arc with Shadowheart being a Selunite in the end. So i kept Nightsong alive, because she's a powerful ally against Ketheric and the Absolute Army in the end. Also she beats up Lorroakan pretty good. So my CG Bardlock also told him that Nightsong is dead, which in that case was a lie, though. Then i told her about him looking for her, then i went there with the Nightsong/Dame Alyn to kill him together. Was very satisfying. In the end i could plunder the Vault easily. laugh

Anyway, in your situation, i would try to speak to the Librarian in the back of the reception area. After passing some Persuation checks, she may tell you, that there's a key to the Vault in her office - which is upstairs. Some people successfully already broke in to that office and just stole the key. There's several videos on Youtube about that. Maybe that is an option to try for you?

Massive spoilers - each more spoilerly

There's a door near the portals. Left screen. Sneak into that room.

Search the bookcase.

You can do any of the above, or just:

Jump/fly from his balcony to the level bellow and use see invisibility to reveal the acces to the vault. That way you can also get the staff and the robe that are there and are better than anything you find in the vault

In any case, there's no need of attack him unless you want (And attacking him don't do anything related to the vault)

That's how I did it too. I robbed his entire place before fighting him using his own stuff against him.
