At least on the PS5, this command will only pick the item up. It won't add it to wares. It seems to only have this bug on equipment items.
I have the same problem on PC since latest patch - but only when I pickup items with my Barbarian Avatar. The other chars in my party (Laezel, Shadowheart, Gale) do not seem to be "affected" by this problem oO
