A Star Wars Fan - am supposed to buy a Playstation or Gamecube or better both ...

Or none. The real Star Wars is the movie, not a computer game
On the other news, Lucas Arts is getting near the release date for Jedi Academy.
I have very, very low expectations as every "new" game features were made by fans for Jedi Outcast. If KOTOR fails, bye-bye, LucasArts...

personally i felt that C&C games are great, with or without the original hit for references.

& as for warcraft 3, it may not be so original(the hero idea was originally from Warlords Battlecry which was earlier than WC3) but it's a hell lot of fun. in fact more than starcraft. starcraft is a start of 'twitch' RTS, where u play as frantic as FPS, which is lame. used to be real-time strategy but now it's more like really twitchy system. but this doesn't mean that i'm moving on to turn-based as i still hate that system. way 2 slow...... .

2 cents spent.

I'm a huge Build and Conquer (aka RTS) fan in -general-.

Didn't play WCIII 'cause it's too slow on my machine.
... always likes the combination of humour / action in Warcraft.

I also tried out C&C Renegade. It was kinda cool (If you liked C&C) but it was too slow... even on my friends game-monster.
It was like being one of the soldiers that you normally command in C&C, and you could still order a tank if you were sick and tired of running around 8)

The game didn't become a real -hit- though, it was too much focussed on the C&C world.
Besides that, not all RTS fans like FPS'rs (and the other way around)

(Still hoping that Lar' one day delivers a brilliant RTS ! )

your dream may just come true. let's think of the title;

Divinity: Shopkeeper which is an adventure where gamers play as a shopkeeper in the land of rivellon who's so keen to make his/her shop the best in the land so he/she goes forth for adventures to get the best items for his/her customers. a cross between elder scrolls & indiana jones & world of warcraft. & a whole lot of dialogues.

or .....

Divinity: Poor Section Fighter
looks, smells, & feels a lot like Street Fighter with bad bosses like Janus, Josephina, big bad Demon of Lies & more.

maybe ....

Divinity: Rift Runner
this one's a side-scroller much like Toby On The Run or Lode Runner. heck make it like Lost Vikings or Megaman series(Shyon would love this).

remotely can be this .....

Divinity: Jeopardy
medieval game show where that fake magic carpet seller(forgot his name) is the host & players get to compete against other NPCs or players. Quizes on the world of Divinity.

woohoo!! 2 cents down the drain!!

some more ideas here.

Divinity: Dance Dance Rivellon
game comes with custom floor-gamepad which players use to dance to kirill's hit songs.

Divinity: The Reckoning
using half-life 2 engine, players team up to play against one another in clan battles. join either with noble elves, or loyal dwarves, or brutish orcs, or impish imps( ) or untrusting humans or lidless lizards. capture the imp's ball, team deathmatch, pull hairy jokes on cuticle-rich monsters, find the coin that can teleport u to anywhere, death race through iona's dungeon, pull the lizard mage's tail, .... & many more!

Divinity: Dress up Penumbra
for young female gamers, u can dress up Penumbra & decorate her torture room. secret character: succubus.

Divinity: Divide & Conquer
the ultimate strategy game. play chess! opponents include evil janus, even more evil demon of lies, & zandalor! melee only.

hehehe, my first suggestion in the previous post does sound a bit like
Divinity: Tycoon.

on with the next;

Divinity: Keeper
build your own dungeon that can rival that of iona's & see who gets most headache in trying to get out of the maze. last one must eat a rotten egg!

Divinity: The Gathering: Pay $9 for a chest full of random goodies. Gauranteed 1 rare, 3 magical, and 6 mundane items in every chest. (Come to think of it, this sounds like Divine Divinty!)

Sim Divinity: Build and manage a hamlet. Watch it grow into a thriving kingdom. Balace residence, commerce and industry. Watch out for disasters such as orcs, curses, magical cults, and divine intervention.

Have any of you heard of Helbreath?

It is korean MMORPG. Some time ago they offered it for free, I tried it. Now, they charge some fee on a monthly basis.
I haven't seen more boring game with awful graphics and sounds, with no story at all. The only goal is mindlessly lvling.

Here is link to it.

The first game was named "Tomb Raider 3" and the second "to present" ?????

EDIT : We once had a serious discussion about games in the Universe ... of course it drifted away ...

One thing I kept in mind was an RTS game ... Partly because Larian once made "LED Wars" ...

Tomb Raider 3 - to present:
I mean:
Tomb Raider 3
Tomb Raider Lost Artifact (or something)
Tomb Raider Chronicles
Tomb Raider Last Revelation
Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness.
Since I am not a TR fan, I guess I mixed some titles...

Divinity: Penumbra Kraft
adventurer, beautiful, smart, .... (that sounds like lara croft),.... . with unique moves like warrior spin, wizard blink, rogue-ish crouch, .... .

about Larian making a RTS, i hope it'll be a hell lot better than most as i'm bored with the usual medieval fare. let it not remind u of lord of the rings RTS or the ever boring age of empire.

but Larian is best at RPG & we need more quality RPG here. RTS? let's leave it to EA & Blizzard & other wannabees.

we want RPG! we want RPG! we want RPG! we want .......

ok, so age of empires series (minus age of mythology) are crappy 2 me.

I am not an RTS player. I prefer turn based strategy, Age of Wonders and Alpha Centauri comes to mind. I am no fan of Age of '--' games nor C&C. Probably because I suck at them
