It's not that bad.
But the thing is, it's supposed to end the romance. And it does if you apologize and say you shouldn't have pushed him. But if you tell him he should sleep with you, it puts you on the "i care about you" dialogue path and you can proceed the same as if you hadn't made him bite her.
I've tried it myself and there's videos on youtube, but I've also seen people say it doesn't work like that for them.
