Hi! I'm at a real loss here because nothing I have tried has fixed this.
Let me start out by saying, I do not have any mods installed. I have never installed any mods.
I'd like to eventually but if this is the kind of hassle they cause, then maybe not.
So no, this is the go-to for everyone I ask including support, but I have no mods. None. Never did. So it's not mods or a mod issue.
Patch 3, some of Astarion's kiss interactions would get clipped off at the end, missing the last word or two of his sentence, but that wasn't such a big issue.
Now with Patch 4, he has new lines and a new animation. Lovely except the lines either do not trigger any speech at all, just a strange face, or they trigger one of the old lines with the subtitles giving the new line.
That's actually happening with post-kiss lines too. There aren't any new ones, but the old ones aren't actually triggering as the subtitles say half the time.
It's really annoying and weird... I wish I could fix it. It's possible it's an honest to goodness bug, and if so it is what it is, but I'm wondering if anyone else who is not running mods is seeing this too? It would be nice to verify it's not just me and not mods and we just have to wait for a patch. Even better if someone who doesn't run mods had this and knows how to fix it that would be great, tho I know that's a longshot.
I have done a lot of troubleshooting of game files and Player Profiles and nothing makes it better.
