FR elves, as of 5E, do not show signs of age other than getting weird cataracts over their eyes (though I'm not sure if drow do, since they don't have a connection to the elven afterlife). So yeah, Viconia shouldn't look like that if we go strictly by FR lore (which BG3 obviously does not because there are a lot of lore errors).

I would have loved to see Imoen again; seems like there's some way she could still be around (and she, or someone with her name at least, had a small cameo in the Shadows of Athkatla tabletop session the voice actors did. Even though that plot just milked BG2 for all it was worth without the substance, but at least they had fun).

I also trust Larian to do the good-aligned characters better than the evil-aligned ones. I know I care about the original games too much, but it legitimately depresses me that
Viconia is now known as a child torturer and Sarevok as an incestuous Bhaal puppet
by most players. I can't bring myself to even get to them in the game, so I guess I might never finish BG3 just because of how 2 cameo characters were handled. I really loved the game before I found that out, too.

As for Durge, I'm glad they aren't Charname because I've known what my Charname did after Throne of Bhaal for over a decade now (hello actual epilogue slides), and where she is now. I'm not changing my headcanon just because WotC wants to keep riding the coattails of a story that was made for love and not quick profit, which is why it was actually good.

Edit: I'm not suggesting BG3 was made without love, just that WotC is more interested in profit than quality these days.
