We were talking about awards and praise for games in another thread, mostly in the context of how broken BG3 is right now.
For example, I'm spending time on the forums because I'm in Act 3, which is currently unplayable unless I switch to a pre-patch 4 save. So... unless I replay an older Tav.

As much as I love *some* aspects of BG3, I can't imagine voting for a game that currently I can't even play. Because of how CP2077 was released by CDPR, and how it now seems like the accepted game design-to-market strategy to release buggy, unfinished code and then support it for longterm on the fly. BG3 seems to be following the same path.

I just don't think gamers will end up benefiting from this current trend of releasing a clearly unready product, then relying on hype and some adorably saucy characters to carry the day while your customers cool their heels on the forums, trying to figure out how to get around the mess.

YMMV, of course, but BG3 gets no votes from me. It's not ready for primetime. I think Larian should spend time fixing the mess rather than courting more internet hype.
