I was wondering what you thought was the strongest spell in the game?
My number 1 choice would have to Haste, with Aid as a close second.
My list:
1. Globe of Invulnerability 2. Aid 3. Haste 4. Fireball 5. Mass Healing Word
I recently made a video about it if you want to check it out! I'm a NewTuber so I would appreciate feedback on the video. Sorry for the plug, I'm just starting out and struggling to get any views!
That's a great combination! I missed out Sanctuary, just because it's a bit of a "boring" spell for a video
Thanks for the contribution.
Boring how?
Here is my latest video of soloing house of grief on tactician, haste and sanctuary are my bread and butter, I also soloed it with the same 2 spells as a wizzard and gloom lock.
Actually all my solo builds are about these 2 spells unless they are stealth builds in which case sanctuary isnt needed
So why's Sanctuary implemented incorrectly and turned into another OP cheese move? There's supposed to be a Wisdom Saving Throw to counter the effect.
Also, in that Sharran fight, a room full of mid-high level Clerics, and no one can Dispel Magic. They don't even spam their darkness to protect themselves.
Yeah, they do have the detecting mechanic and animation set up for Invisibility. Just use that and make it a wisdom save for Sanctuary. It'd still be a worthy level 1 spell to prepare.
It doesn't murder a hundred dudes on its own but has so much application; - it gets rid of fire/burning and some other effects. On top of that, it makes creatures vulnerable to lightning and cold, lightning being the most common damage source across all spellcasters and weapons.
My favorite spell for doing pure damage: Red Knight's Final Strategem, Artistry of War Favorite Illithid Ability/Spells: Mind Sanctuary, FreeCast, Fly.
