Has anyone here played Shogun or Medieval Total War? How was it? And, by the way, any other good non rpgs out there?

The cutdown. www.totalwar.com In single player campaign its like turn based, each turn is a year. Much like risk except the intense battles. Its hard to describe now that I think about it. The only drag is that for multiplayer gamespy powers it. Well for a variety of reason some people hate gamespy. well anyway you will get over that and want to battle on line. Like $30 for the game and $30 for the expansion. Rome Total war is coming out soon I think. if you have a firewall or a router you can't host but you can play online. (thats if you didn't know already <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> )

I would just like to add one other fact of the online gaming. In that respect of this type of game vs. rpg online type of game. There are more mature people on in the chat room. The only sad part is during different times of the day there is certain amounts of people on. I think fridays are the best. the highest it goes up is 4 vs 4 in one game. You can also make mods for the maps and play with those online.

regarding non-rpg; black & white(sim), sacrifice(tactical strategy), commandos 1 & 2(tactical strategy), GROM (devs say it is RPG), mechcommander 1 & 2(tactical strategy), mechwarrior series(sim), dark reign 2(RTS), ..... . have u tried blaster ball?
