This is the 2nd time this happens to me. It seems throwing poison in camp causes scratch to teleport into your camp. Talking with him prompts the same dialogue as if you met him in the wild, and if you convince him to come to your camp he will show up as normal after a long rest.

I can confirm. It happens when throwing anything it seems. He teleports in to play fetch with you.

I found out when I was doing some testing with Eldritch Knight and Duelling fighting style, I was throwing some weapons at boxes and Scratch teleported it to bring them back to me...

Fascinating. Yeah I know they made a change where Scratch will fetch anything you throw in camp and apparently it’s caused this bug? When it was just the ball, he had to give it to you when he was in camp already. Personally I liked being able to throw things in camp without best boy thinkin’ he should pick it up
