I guess the more I think about Mizora, the more I think about how she was a missed opportunity for a good villain. Raphael is better done. Mizora starts well. When she quotes the article as in "I'm using this loophole because I'm smarter than you", but she is in fact wrong because you are literally seeing Karlach burning heart through her chest. And then Karlach talks about Mizora's pride. That is a good start for an interesting character arc. I would have fit perfectly that her pride/envy made her make a mistake that could free Wyll from the contract. So the same choice for Wyll (not killing Karlach) that is supposed to doom him, is the one that frees him. And it would have been very on point with Wyll's character.

Instead, we have more Mizora the Mary Sue. The children's rhyme does nothing. And when you go to rescue her, for some reason she is in her own room (because she seems to be "special" for the illithids), but she is not tadpooled (when they tadpole anyone special/interesting/powerful). Why they didn't tadpole her? They tadpole everyone else. And, of course, since she has literal plot armor, what was achieved in act 2 is ignored in favor of a new deal. It is bait and switch, which is annoying at best. All because they can't have Mizora simply losing to her own pride. Getting witnesses and proof of Mizora for a trial would have been more engaging. And if at the trial Karlach testifies to save Wyll, it adds even more weight to their friendship. They save each other. Also, gives even more reason to go after Gorlach, since he might still keep the contract with Zariel for when she bought her and replaced her heart with the infernal one.

A Mizora that doesn't stay at the camp and remains mysterious works better. And if you must include sex with her, it would make a lot more sense that it is a way she has to manipulate you. But she just sleeps with you, with nothing to gain and no bad consequences for your character. If it was a way to make you not help Wyll in the trial or steal evidence, then it would have been more interesting. But I digress, right now Mizora is another femme fatale with nothing that makes her stand out. A missed opportunity for something better.
