I have issues with one of the quests.


Anybody? Some solution, or at least workaround, as it a little bit irritating.

I'm having the exact same problem and posted about it about 20 minutes before you.

I think we'll have to wait for the next patch. The only way I have managed to "fix" it is to scrub back over my saves all the way to before I did any other quests and Orin was still alive.

It seems they expect you to do this quest before going anywhere near the lower city.

I raised a bug report about it, maybe do the same.

The bug which i encountered with Duke Ravengarde is that the game crashes every time leaving Iron Throne via submarine after the cutscene is over. After you rescued Duke Ravengarde and all the Gondians, they are all in submarine. Then the cutscene goes where they pull me up and the ship leaves. Then it will load to 100% , the next screen loads then it crashes every time. This issue happens on latest patch 4.1.1.3911062 (Hotfix #10) on PC STEAM.

Ok, Larian... now I'm pissed...

@VariousJG Bug report done for both scenarios (accept and reject Mizora's offer).

i had this after the patch. Replayed the entire campaign with new character. Didnt crash on cutscene but when i went back go camp, Duke R will disappear if you speak to Wyll and there is a option to let you tell him that his father is dead.

Next a ! will appear on top of Mizora and when you done speak to her, she and Wyll will merge as one and start walking together.

The pact is real!

Tested after Hotfix 11. No changes... It's quite irritating, as it's not a some totally additional side quest without no major repercussions, but a quest line regarding companions...

I did the same thing, I will keep an eye out for hotfixes and update if I find a work around. I thought it may be something to a side quest we all share, like the clowns body parts. I don't want to spend hours testing though if it doesn't resolve the issue.

I had this happen to me on my last play-through (pre patch 4), because (I think) I had forgotten to talk to Mizora again after the ceremony. Re-loaded a save, talked to her and did all the other dialogue involving Wyll and *then* he was present for the rescue.

Are you sure you've done all the "triggers" for this quest?


Other than that: I should probably add that I never had Wyll in my party during any of my play-throughs plus I never agreed to a deal with Gortash during the ceremony.

I also never did the Ansur-quest before rescuing the Duke.


Seeing how, on my current run, I got that quest during a random encounter in the lower city and from a female NPC I'd never seen before, using almost the exact same lines of dialogue that the Duke would normally use after I rescued him, I wonder if he'll be dead or absent for me too when I get to the Iron Throne.

I'm 99.9 Percent sure I have done all he dialogue.

The few "test" runs I have done covered the following...

Attempt 1
- Did the ceremony Spoke to Ravengard as Tav
- Spoke to Mizora on the bridge until she vanished and promised to meet me at my camp
- Rejected her offer. Spoke to her and had her offer support in the final battle
- completed all dialogue options.
- went to the sub spoke to Redhammer (Wyll says his father must be down there)
- Go to Iron Throne...no Ravengard

After attempt 3 I did all the same steps again except I didn't speak to Mizora in our camp while she is standing by Wyll.

Nothing seems to work, I tried all of these multiple times and found on all but 1 (Because I didn't think to check) that Duke Ravengard isn't leaving the Audience Hall even though every seems to think he has been moved somewhere.

If I have time I will talk to Mizora in the camp again until I only have repeating dialogue and let you know.

Edit...

Mizora had one last bit of dialogue left. Get out of the camp, I selected it and checked...no luck at all. I can see Ravengard in his cell (sort of) during the cutscene, he's just not there once the cutscene is over.

I just posted about this too. You’ve been Raven more thorough. May I ask, what happened in the timeline where you saw a cut scene… then what? Did you continue on? Did the game treat you like you saved him?

Also what was the final dialogue?

Out of curiosity… did you kill Orin already? If so, did you do it before the coronation?

To answer both of you questions;

Due to Orin kidnapping Halsin I had to kill her first.

After the cutscene I didn't bother continuing through the iron throne. As he isn't in his cell and Omeluum doesn't give the specific dialogue to save Ravengard is there I don't see the point.

Hey so, I figured out how to fix this since I last found your post.

Go to Gortash’s coronation.
Exit and meet Mizora on the bridge.
Immediately to camp and turn down Mizora.
Exhaust all dialogue with her and Wyll.
Leave camp back to the bridge where you talked to Mizora.
Exit to Baldur’s Gate ON FOOT through the path. DO NOT FAST TRAVEL.
Then you can check to see if this worked by doubling back through the exit you just came from. Going back in to the coronation room and seeing that is has… changed…

…you’ll know it’s changed. Trust me. The Duke will be gone to say the least.
