You can free the pixie from the lantern you get from the drider.
Then you go to moonrise towers and find another lantern in Balthazar's room. But you can't free the pixie in that lantern. So I guess that pixie is forever imprisoned.
Aww, that may be even sadder than the rats in de ELfsong's basement.
